Photo Submissions

Uniting Church members around Victoria and Tasmania are invited to capture a photograph of something that characterises a special aspect of their presbytery and submit it for possible inclusion in the 2013 Commission for Mission (CFM) calendar.


CFM will select the best 12 pictures in an initiative to highlight the photographic talents of the Uniting Church and in a novel way, connect the world of each presbytery with the Synod.

As the calendar images also feature as the backdrop for prayers, please ensure there is space around the focal point, to allow room for text. (See example on right)

Further instructions/selection criteria include:

• Image resolution should be at least 300 dpi, measuring 210mm x 297mm (A4).
• A deed of release must be submitted from each of the recognisable persons in the photo, giving their permission for it to be used freely within the Uniting Church.
• Images will be judged on their overall message and reflection of presbytery life. While the featuring of people is preferable, this should be done in a natural and ‘candid manner,’ accompanied by a caption explaining the scene.
• Photographs submitted will become the copyright property of the Uniting Church.
