The Communications and Media Services Unit serves the church by helping it to proclaim the Gospel of Christ, telling the story of the people who seek to live out that gospel — in our case the Uniting Church. This means helping members of the Uniting Church engage in and discuss issues that are important — spirituality, finding faith, putting faith into action through social issues, making links with other people of faith, engaging with the political process to bring about change for justice and peace.
We also serve the church by the timely and accurate sharing of information among the church community as well as by attempting to stimulate people to take a look at what the Uniting Church is doing and what it stands for.
The monthly Synod e-news, which is sent to ministers in placement and to congregation secretaries, promotes material that is likely to be of interest to congregations, including a regular update from the General Secretary, reporting decisions of the Standing Committee.

They set out the elements that together form the Uniting Church in Australia Synod of Victoria and Tasmania visual identity — the public expression of our Uniting Church in Australia brand.
