Your invitation to Understanding & Facing the Media

A practical training course for CEOs and organisations grappling with today’s media maze

The advent of social media, self-published blogs and multi-platform mainstream media has created a multitude of challenges for organisations, particularly those in the not-for-profit or small business arena.

In the space of ten minutes an organisation can see years of hard work undone by handling media incorrectly.

Understanding & Facing the Media’ is a course designed by the Communications and Media Services unit at Uniting Church Synod of Victoria and Tasmania to assist CEOs and organisations in making correct media decisions, especially during the stress of a communications crisis. The course also offers insight into building relationships with media in order to tell the positive stories your organisation generates.

The ‘Understanding & Facing the Media’ course is practical and hands-on, tailored to your organisation’s specific needs. It can be general in nature or focus on a real-life media challenge you are facing now. Our approach is based on coaching and assisting in ways that build confidence and clarity.
